Lift Feversham is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join our Forest School-focused team on a fixed-term basis until August 2027. The role supports pupils across key stages, with potential for job share within Forest School and classroom duties.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and GCSEs in English and Maths are required.
• Experience supporting in a UK school within the last 2 years.
• Genuine passion for outdoor education and resilience to inspire children in all weathers.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children, including familiarity with SEND strategies and early literacy/phonics programmes.
• Strong grasp of child development and positive behaviour management to foster independence and self-esteem.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build warm relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Understand students' learning needs, including SEND, to support access to lesson content and objectives.
• Help students develop independent learning skills and self-management.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality lessons and assess progress.
• Deliver targeted interventions with teachers within defined parameters.
• Develop positive relationships and promote positive behaviours per policy.
• Support wellbeing, safeguarding and personal care per school procedures.
• Plan and deliver Forest School sessions promoting outdoor learning, creativity and resilience.
• Provide a safe, stimulating environment for hands-on nature activities.
• Support physical, social and emotional development through outdoor learning.
