Job summary

Lift Feversham is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support outdoor Forest School sessions and general classroom learning. The role focuses on enabling children to thrive through hands-on, nature-based activities and inclusive teaching in a community-focused environment.

The post is fixed-term until August 2027, with flexibility for part-time or job-share arrangements and a preference for applicants with experience in primary settings and a passion for outdoor education.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification minimum.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or above.
• Experience in a UK school within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Understand students' learning needs to support access to lesson content and achieve objectives.
• Help students develop independent learning and manage their own learning.
• Work with teachers to plan, deliver high-quality lessons and assess learning.
• Deliver targeted interventions in collaboration with teachers.
• Develop positive relationships with students and promote positive behaviours.
• Support social, emotional, mental health, wellbeing and personal care.
