TeacherActive is seeking a Nursery Practitioner for a permanent, part-time role in York. The successful candidate will support learning and development through storytelling, outdoor activities and forest school, creating a safe and engaging environment for young children.

Requirements include Level 2 in Early Years or Childcare, EYFS knowledge, and experience in an Early Years setting. The role offers on-site work, DBS checks and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• A minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
• Experience in an Early Years setting
• Knowledge of the EYFS
• Confidence reading stories to groups of young children
• Enthusiastic approach to outdoor learning and forest school
• Caring, patient and adaptable approach

Responsabilités

• Support children with their learning and development, including reading stories and planning engaging activities
• Provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and curriculum
• Monitor child progress and communicate with parents
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing training and development
