Job summary

Storal is seeking a Forest School Leader to plan, deliver and manage outdoor learning across Forest Barn Nursery. You will ensure safety, promote the Forest School ethos and support children's development through play-based activities.

The role requires Forest School Lead qualifications and EYFS knowledge, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time hours in a supportive nursery environment. A company-wide commitment to wellbeing and professional growth is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children and supporting development

• Ability to engage children across age groups within Early Years

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Forest School sessions.
• Deliver weekly Forest School curriculum across year groups as scheduled.
• Provide Forest School nurture groups to support children's social/communication needs.
• Promote school values and guide volunteers during sessions

Job description

Nursery: Forest Barn Nursery School, The Barn at Tooks Farm, Great Warley Street, Brentwood, CM13 3JP

Paid UBER rides from train station to the nursery's location

Hours: Full Time and Part Time roles available, Monday - Friday

Salary: Up to £15.71 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)

About the role:

A Forest School Leader plans, delivers, and manages outdoor learning sessions, fostering children’s development while ensuring safety and promoting the Forest School ethos:

• To plan, prepare and deliver a range of Forest School sessions with children across the school. To further develop and promote the Forest School
• To plan and deliver the Forest School Curriculum through weekly sessions to year groups of children as specified at agreed times in the year.
• To deliver weekly Forest School Nurture group provision to support children's specific social, communication, behaviour or wellbeing needs.
• To promote the values and ethos of the school
• To provide appropriate advice and guidance to volunteers or support staff assisting with sessions

About you:

• A true love for child development and care
• Able and willing to work in a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, your peers and parents
• High levels of care and empathy that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework

Must haves:

• Forest School Lead qualification
• Early Years qualification at Level 2/3
• Experience working with all age groups within Early Years
