Job summary

Forestry and Land Scotland is seeking a Planning Support Assistant to provide technical, administrative and fieldwork support to Forest Planners and the programming team. You will perform field surveys, collect data and manage GIS tasks to support planning and consultation activities underpinning sustainable forest management across the region.

The West Region Planning Team develops and maintains Long Term Forest Plans, secures regulatory approvals, and ensures forestry operations are planned

Qualifications

• Experience with basic GIS and data collection workflow.
