Job summary

Forestry and Land Scotland is seeking Planning Support Assistants to join the West Region planning team. You will assist in technical, administrative and fieldwork tasks, supporting forest planning and regulatory submissions.

Working with planners and the programming team, you will help collect data, manage GIS tasks and contribute to sustainable forest management across the region. A collaborative, data-driven role within a 35-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic GIS skills and data handling.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams across planning and fieldwork.
• Good administrative and data management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, administrative and fieldwork support to Forest Planners.
• Contribute to data collection, GIS management and regulatory submissions.
• Support development and maintenance of Long Term Forest Plans and stakeholder engagement.
