Job summary

Morepeople is seeking an experienced Senior Forestry Consultant to lead the delivery and development of forestry and woodland services across Central and North Scotland. You will drive business development, manage assets and oversee long-term forest planning with a emphasis on grant schemes and environmental initiatives.

The role demands strong forestry expertise, leadership and commercial awareness, with responsibilities spanning consultancy, planning, and team mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and client relationships.
• Lead asset management, consultancy and financial planning.
• Oversee long-term forest planning and new woodland creation.
• Manage timber harvesting, marketing, restocking and maintenance.
• Deliver Forestry Grant Scheme applications and grant-funded works.
• Lead GIS mapping, woodland certification and tree safety programmes.
• Oversee BS 5837 surveys, woodland impact assessments and crop compensation.
• Develop innovative rewilding, carbon offsetting and Woodland Carbon Code projects.
• Mentor colleagues and help shape the future of the team.
