Job summary

Cellmark Forensic Services is seeking a Dispensing Analyst and Laboratory Technician in Abingdon for a full-time fixed-term contract until January 2027, with potential for permanency. The role involves preparing and analyzing body fluids for toxicology testing, updating LIMS, and supporting the Toxicology team.

Qualifications

• A-Level or equivalent in a scientific subject, chemistry preferred.
• Entry level role – full training will be provided.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel/Word for data input.

Responsibilities

• Check, examine and prepare bodily fluids, ready for extraction.
• Update LIMS systems and process documentation for accurate workflow.
• Preparation of laboratory solutions, calibrators and quality control samples.
• Efficient stock control and ordering of non-stock items.
• General housekeeping of laboratory areas and disposal of hazard waste.
• Interface with team members and managers to ensure quality and safety standards.
