Job summary

Talentmark Limited is recruiting a Toxicology Technical Specialist to join a forensic testing organisation based in Warrington on a permanent basis. This is a full-time, onsite role working Monday to Friday during daytime hours.

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the laboratory's chromatography and mass instrumentation, overseeing instrument setup, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, and providing technical support for hardware, software and analytical issues.

Qualifications

Strong practical experience with LC-MS/MS and HS-GC-FID.
Experience in instrument setup, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Experience with Waters and SCIEX instrumentation is desirable.
Excellent understanding of drug extraction techniques, notably LLE and SPE.
A thorough understanding of immunoassay, chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques (ELISA, HS-GC-FID and LC-MS/MS and HPLC).
Experience working within an ISO 17025 laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation and performance of all equipment and analytical instruments
Coordinate instrument installation, setup, commissioning, maintenance and servicing
Provide troubleshooting and technical support for instrument hardware, software and analytical issues.
Manage and support instrument software.
Monitor instrument performance and coordinate corrective actions when required.
