Job summary

Oxford Health is recruiting an ambitious Speech and Language Therapist to join the Thames Valley Forensic Mental Health Service across Oxford, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury. You will provide specialist assessment, intervention and consultation for adults with complex communication and dysphagia in secure inpatient settings.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, shape care plans, support risk management and promote patient engagement, with opportunities for service development and ongoing

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy with HCPC registration.
• Ongoing CPD and commitment to professional development.
• Experience working in forensic mental health is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out specialist assessments and interventions for complex communication and dysphagia.
• Provide consultation to multidisciplinary teams and carers.
• Inform care planning and risk management.
• Support service development, staff training and quality improvement.
• Promote patient engagement and voice in recovery.
