Job summary

The Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to work in a prison setting, delivering high-quality assessment and interventions to support recovery and daily living.

As an advanced SLT, you will supervise colleagues, lead care planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across forensic in-patient services, contributing to formulation and treatment plans within a supportive management structure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• HCPC registered SLT.
• RCSLT registered SLT.

Responsibilities

• Be an involved member of a multi-disciplinary team across the establishment.
• Assess, review, risk assess and case manage people with varying complexities.
• Deliver high-quality SLT assessment, interventions and evaluations in forensic in-patient services.
• Provide communication assessments and advise as part of the single assessment process.
• Carry out specialist assessments to identify communication needs and develop action plans.
• Liaise with service users, carers, local authorities and other bodies.
