The NHS is seeking a dedicated registered mental health nurse to join the forensic community mental health team. This role involves providing expert care to patients in secure settings and requires a compassionate professional with experience in mental health, especially forensic care. The position is full-time, fixed-term until June 2026 with a strong emphasis on patient recovery and evidence-based practice.
Job summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic registered mental health nurse to join our forensic community mental health team on a fixed term basis up until 20/06/2026.
The primary function of this role is to coordinate and provide expert care and support to patients in high and medium secure mental health settings.
This challenging yet rewarding position requires a compassionate and committed professional who can contribute to the treatment and recovery of individuals with complex mental health needs who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.
Main duties of the jobKey Responsibilities:
Offer support, guidance, and education to patients and their families, empowering them to be active partners in the treatment process.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
