Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks a full-time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to work in the Forensic setting at Rampton Hospital. You will assess and treat patients with SLCN and dysphagia, working with the MDT to support rehabilitation and access to high quality care.

You will have supervision from a Clinical Lead SLT and collaborate with SLT assistants, apprentices and education teams, with opportunities for CPD and DBS processes as described.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech & Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Evidence of CPD and ongoing professional development.
• Dysphagia training at basic level or supervised experience.
• RCSLT membership and active involvement in the profession.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage a caseload of SLCN and dysphagia in adults.
• Deliver direct and goal‑led interventions within the MDT.
• Prepare reports, care plans and easy-read information for patients.
• Support junior colleagues, provide second opinions and supervision.
• Engage in joint goal setting and maintain accurate records.
