Overview

Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist interested in shaping mental health care across different security levels? Join Wellesley Hospital, a friendly, committed, and well-established Mental Health Service provider in the South-west Provider Collaborative, offering medium and low secure inpatient services for diverse patient groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex cases, formulate care plans, and guide evidence-based treatments.
• Handle a caseload of approximately 15-20 inpatients, possibly across different wards.
• Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Lead risk assessments and management strategies.
• Write reports for tribunals and attend hearings.
• Collaborate with external agencies and participate in clinical governance.

Requirements

• Full GMC registration
• MRCPsych or equivalent
• Registration on the Specialty Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with forensic experience
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
• Good CPD standing and recent appraisal
• AC and Section 12(2) approval
