Forensic Occupational Therapist — Community OT Lead (Weekend/Evening)

Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the Community ForensicTeam. The post focuses on developing and delivering occupationally focused interventions for service users stepping down from secure care or at risk of offending, with care coordination and social supervision duties on a case load.

Weekend and early evening shifts are required on a team rota.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc/PG Dip Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• HCPC registration (or applying for it) required.
• Membership of ROCT desirable.
• Experience working with personality disorder and mental health problems.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, development and evaluation of OT services within Community Forensic Team.
• Work with service users to identify occupational goals.
• Lead OT interventions with identified clients, using MOHO and client-centred approaches.
• Provide timely feedback to MDT regarding occupation, risk and performance.
• Coordinate and socially supervise caseload to promote independence and recovery.
