Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Higher Assistant Psychologist to join our enhanced Forensic Psychiatry Community Service, based between Cambridge and Peterborough. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support risk management and recovery.

The role involves developing psychological formulations, delivering interventions under supervision, and contributing to service evaluation and research, with a compassionate, trauma-informed approach.

Qualifications

• Band 5 role in forensic psychiatry/community services.
• Under supervision, develop and implement psychological interventions.
• Involvement in audits and research.

Responsibilities

• Develop psychological case formulations and interventions (e.g., CFT, CBT, DBT, Trauma-focused therapies, Relapse Prevention) under supervision.
• Assist with administration and audit tasks; contribute to service evaluation and research.
• Work independently according to a plan with supervision within the team's policies.
