Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Applied Principal Psychologist to provide highly specialist psychological therapy within the Fens service. The post involves complex assessment, formulation, and risk-informed treatment for individuals with chronic trauma histories in a high-security setting.

You will supervise other psychologists, contribute to teaching and research, and work with the Clinical Lead to develop innovative programmes.

Qualifications

• Qualified psychologist with registration and eligibility to practice in the UK.
• Experience in trauma-focused therapy and complex case formulation.

Responsibilities

• Develop psychological formulations of presenting problems, including trauma and risk.
• Evaluate treatment options using evidence-based models and complex factors.
• Incorporate assessments into care plans and communicate formulations to the MDT.
• Lead and coordinate psychological services within the Fens, across settings.
• Support clinical leads and teach staff, contributing to training and research.
• Collaborate with partnership agencies and maintain data sharing and reporting.
