Job summary

Cygnet Delfryn House in North Wales seeks a confident, compassionate Social Worker to join the forensic inpatient team. You will provide specialist psychosocial assessment, safeguarding leadership, and systemic support for service users admitted to the inpatient unit.

The post holder links with external agencies to support safe discharge planning and promote welfare in line with statutory responsibilities. The service opens in 2027 and accepts referrals now.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Knowledge of mental health and inpatient settings desirable.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and multi-agency liaison.

Responsibilities

• Hold and manage a ward caseload to provide therapeutic care.
• Assist with discharge planning and multi-disciplinary assessments.
• Support families and carers using appropriate assessments and Triangle of Care principles.
• Attend mandatory training and provide recovery-focused, person-centred social work.
