Job summary

Oxford Health is seeking a Physical Fitness Practitioner to work across Marlborough House, Milton Keynes and Woodlands House, Aylesbury, delivering health and fitness services to patients in a medium to low secure forensic mental health setting.

You will plan and provide group and 1:1 interventions, assess physical fitness needs, work with the MDT to support physical and mental health goals, and use risk assessments and outcome measures to adapt programmes. DBS check is required on onboarding.

Qualifications

• Level 2 gym instructor qualification or equivalent required.
• Experience delivering fitness programmes to diverse groups.
• Desirable: CIMSPA membership or equivalent professional recognition.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and provide health and fitness services in group or individual settings.
• Deliver evidence-based 1:1 and group interventions to improve physical fitness.
• Use risk assessment tools to engage patients safely in training programmes.
• Assess patient fitness needs and adapt programmes with outcome measures.
