Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and confident advanced clinical practitioner to join our Forensic Healthcare Services. You will work across Sussex, Kent and Surrey, supporting men awaiting transfer from prison to secure inpatient care with expert clinical oversight.

The role involves assessing patients in prison and secure settings, providing guidance to prison mental health teams, and ensuring safe, coordinated pathways within a regional network.

Formación

• Registered professional registered with NMC/HCPC/SWE as applicable.
• Experience in forensic mental health or prison healthcare.
• Advanced level clinical expertise with risk assessment and decision making.

Responsabilidades

• Provide advanced clinical assessment and expert advice for men referred from prison to secure mental health services.
• Coordinate timely referrals, assessments, admissions and remissions, ensuring safe transitions and compliance with the Mental Health Act.
• Maintain clinical oversight and manage risk for patients awaiting transfer, including crisis and behavioural plans.
• Work across prison healthcare, secure services and patient-flow teams to support bed management.
• Lead clinical improvement and workforce development through supervision, training and audits.
