Job summary

Mitie Care & Custody in the UK is seeking Registered Nurses (Adult) or Paramedics to join our custody suites, delivering clinical care to detainees and supporting wellbeing across a regional coverage area.

Essential: 2 years post-qualification, HCPC/NMC registration, and a valid driving licence; UK resident with police vetting completed; flexible shift patterns.

Qualifications

• RN/RGN/RMN with dual registration: 2 years post qualification - Band 5 minimum
• Paramedic: 2 years post qualification
• Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in patient-facing roles such as general practice, A&E, emergency medicine, acute medicine, walk-in centres, prison healthcare or ambulance service
• HCPC/NMC registration required
• Driving Licence required
• UK resident for 3+ years with no more than 3 months out of country
• Police Vetting required

Responsibilities

• Assess fitness to detain or release and administer medications as needed
• Maintain accurate records on computerised systems
• Work with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root causes of offending
• Provide clinical care in custody suites across shifts
