Job summary

Mitie Care & Custody is recruiting Registered Nurses / RGNs and Paramedics to work in custody suites alongside the Police. You will deliver high-standard care to detainees and rotate across an assigned Police Custody Suite region, with flexible shifts and training provided.

The role requires 2 years post-qualification experience in patient-facing settings and HCPC/NMC registration, plus driving licence and UK residency.

Qualifications

• RN, RGN or RMN with dual registration: 2 years post-qualification.
• Paramedic: 2 years post-qualification.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in patient-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess detainees for fitness to be detained or released.
• Administer medications when needed.
• Gather forensic samples as required by police investigations.
• Make careful records on computerised systems.
