Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a Forensic or Clinical Registered Psychologist to work within the Women’s Estate Psychology Service at HMP Send. The post involves non-operational offender-facing duties, risk assessment, research, consultancy and staff training, with supervision of trainee psychologists.

You will engage in core forensic work and safety-related tasks, contributing to parole risk assessments and multidisciplinary collaboration. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and ongoing professional development required.
• Experience in risk assessment and forensic/clinical psychology.
• Ability to provide supervision to trainee psychologists and staff.
• Experience delivering training and consultancy to staff and institutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide authoritative professional advice on targets and objectives for offenders and placement.
• Offer professional opinions for lifer/parole reports and related assessments.
• Lead on risk assessment and risk management across cases.
• Provide supervision and training to trainee psychologists and staff.
• Deliver consultancy to teams on psychology service outcomes and best practices.
• Support CPD and maintain HCPC registration.
