Job summary

Cambridgeshire Constabulary is recruiting a Scene of Crime Administrator to join the BCH SSU team at Milton Police Station, Cambridgeshire. This full-time, permanent role provides essential administrative support to Crime Scene Examiners and maintains the evidential chain with rigorous records.

You will work with exhibits, IT tools and case management systems, with a development pathway to CSI roles. Training and mentoring are provided, and flexible working may be considered where operationally

Qualifications

• Experience providing administrative support in a forensic or police environment.
• Familiarity with exhibit handling procedures and evidential chain.
• Proficiency in MS Office and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Quality assessment of exhibits for accuracy.
• Process exhibits for travel to units and external providers.
• Receive and move exhibits to long-term storage.
• Provide administrative support to CSIs.
• Stock checks and replenishment ordering.
• Handling inquiries from police staff and partner agencies.
• Maintain clear, up-to-date records and documentation.
