A leading company is seeking a Forecasting Manager to lead forecasting and predictive analytics efforts. The role involves developing forecasting models, presenting insights to management, and enhancing reporting capabilities. Ideal candidates will have a degree in a quantitative field and strong analytical skills.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Forecasting Manager within Cabot. This is a hybrid role with travel to Kings Hill required.
Job Purpose
You will be responsible for leading ERC forecasting and predictive financial analytic efforts within our organisation. You will also be responsible for developing accurate forecasts, analysing trends, and providing insights to support business planning and decision-making. You will work cross-functionally with finance & the core business units to ensure optimal business performance.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict future ERC levels based upon key business metrics. Being the departmental lead for reporting and analysis to support quarterly outputs, including drafting of presentation packs for review meetings.
Working with the business to identify, analyse and quantify areas requiring manual adjustment in the quarterly reforecast process
Present forecasting reports and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
Enhance Forecasting team reporting capabilities and implement new forecasting tools and software to automate and optimize predictive analytics, identifying hidden trends, anomalies, and relationships within the data to highlight areas of improvement within the models.
Utilise analytics to enhance forecasting processes by working with Head of Forecasting, DS team and other core business areas to provide improved forward-looking assessments of PCL expectations
Working with Head of Forecasting, DS team and other core business areas to support the periodic parameter update exercise and to ensure understanding by way of analysis of impact
Identify risks and opportunities through scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
Ensuring delivery of SOx and governance requirements around this process – including delivery of Group risk requirements
Ownership of ABC model, working with finance, pricing and strategy teams to ensure that this supports business needs
Oversight of ABL reporting process
Stay up to date with industry trends, economic indicators, and forecasting best practices

Formal Education & Certification
Highly numerate and detail oriented, preferably with a degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics science subjects, economics or engineering
Knowledge & Experience
Experience in transferring analytical output to commercial implications
Leadership of a team especially highly technical individuals
Collaborative and consultative - able to work with others to develop cross business solutions
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Extensive experience in an industry that deals with high volumes of data
PC literate. Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
Understanding of debt purchase processes and collections strategies
Knowledge of statistical sampling techniques such as Stratified sampling as distinct advantage
Proficient in Databricks for data querying/ programming and an understanding of relational databases
Ability to build reporting within PowerBi application would be beneficial
