Job summary

Geary's Bakeries Ltd is seeking a Planning Administrator in Leicester to forecast demand and optimise production plans. You will work with the Demand Planner and Senior Materials Planner to place orders for ingredients, packaging and consumables, and maintain SKU master data and BOMs.

The role requires strong analytical skills, inventory management expertise, and solid knowledge of Excel and Sage 200. You will manage orders, monitor forecasts, and generate regular reports while supporting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as Demand Planner or similar role.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices.
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of supply chain processes.
• Strong IT systems knowledge including Excel.
• Knowledge/experience using Sage 200 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Forecast future product demands to optimise production plans.
• Place orders for ingredients, packaging and consumables to support manufacturing operations.
• Maintain master data for SKUs and adjust BOMs as needed.
• Monitor forecasts and report changes; conduct weekly forecast maintenance.
• Review item forecasts for new, existing and discontinued products.
• Monitor BOM integrity and inventory accuracy; manage deliveries.
