Job summary

JD Sports Fashion plc in the UK is looking for a Buyers Admin Assistant to support the buying team with day-to-day range administration, sample handling and documentation. The role requires a strong knowledge of sportwear fashion trends and a proactive, organised approach.

Based at Hollinsbrook Way, Pilsworth, Bury, this full-time position involves updating product sheets, supporting sign-off presentations and monitoring web content to ensure timely updates. JD retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• JD retail experience is preferred.
• Current sportswear fashion trend knowledge and a passion for JD product is essential.
• Awareness of celebrity trends within sportswear fashion.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Good organisational skills and basic numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Buyer/Buyer with day-to-day range and samples.
• Ensure post is collected and samples dispatched with correct documentation.
• Prepare weekly trade admin; compile Best and Worst documents, pull relevant samples and ensure they are cleared after meetings.
• Chase suppliers for press samples and pass to marketing.
• Take minutes in meetings and ensure they are written up and followed up promptly.
• Monitor intake images and ensure they appear on the website in a timely manner.
• Attend appointments when specified by Buyer.
