JD Sports is seeking a Buying Manager to support the Head of Buying from our Bury Head Office. You will lead category range architecture, manage supplier relationships, and drive the day-to-day decisions on range, margins, stock and cost to deliver profitable, customer-relevant products.

The role requires proven experience in sports fashion buying at a management level, strong networks, and the ability to coach a team; you will collaborate across Merchandising, Marketing, Ecommerce and Supply

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute category range architecture across core, seasonal and innovation.
• Lead the build and delivery of compelling product ranges across categories.
• Present ranges to Directors and senior stakeholders as a liaison between Heads of and cross-functional teams.
• Manage a buying team with coaching, direction and progression opportunities.
• Understand customer, competitor and market trends to shape strategy.
• Own product selection decisions and range sign-off within delegated authority.
• Drive pricing strategies and markdown proposals.
• Collaborate with trading, allocation and supply chain to optimise availability.
• Identify operational improvements in the buying function for efficiency and accuracy.
