Pertemps Plymouth is seeking a Food Waste Collector for a temporary on-site role in Plymouth. The position runs Monday to Thursday, 06:30–16:15, 37 hours per week, starting asap.

The role is physically demanding, outdoors in all weather, with many steps, requiring good stamina and a positive attitude. You will load/unload waste bins and support other collections; four-day weeks and local community impact are features of the post.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a similar role or manual labour (within the last 6 months).
• Ability to commit to the working hours and arrive on site before the 06:30 crew departure.
• Strong teamwork, communication, reliability and a cooperative attitude to keep collections running smoothly and safely.

This temporary Food Waste Operative role in Plymouth with Pertemps Plymouth runs until December 2026, starting as soon as possible. About the Role

You’ll be responsible for loading and unloading waste bins, with flexibility to support other collections when needed. Expect plenty of fresh air and movement, the role regularly involves high step counts (30,000 +) and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
