Job summary

Coventry City Council, via Opus People Solutions, seeks Refuse Collectors for a temporary role to support food waste bin collection across the city. Location: Depot Coventry, CV3, outdoor and physically demanding work as part of a crew. Roles start immediately through the Christmas and New Year period.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, 7:00am to 4:45pm with a 30-minute paid lunch. PPE provided; safety boots required to supply by candidate as stated.

Coventry City Council | Temporary Assignment via Opus People Solutions

Pay Rate: £13.48 per hour PAYE
Location: Depot - Coventry, CV3

Workers required: 10

Immediate availability to work over the Christmas & New Year season

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. 7am - 4.45pm, 30-minute paid lunch.

• Shift patterns will be discussed during interview
• Successful candidates will be rota'd directly by Coventry City Council

PPE: PPE will be provided by Coventry City Council. You will need to supply your own safety boots.

About the Role

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Coventry City Council for Refuse Collectors on a temporary basis, to support the roll-out and collection of food waste bins across the city.

This is a physically demanding outdoor role working as part of a team to deliver an essential environmental service. You will be responsible for collecting food waste bins from residential properties, ensuring collection routes are completed safely and efficiently while delivering a high standard of service to residents.
