Job summary

Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council recruit a Food Waste Collection Loader to support their new weekly service across Bromsgrove and Redditch. You will join a collection crew, collecting food waste from homes and ensuring safe handling.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to work across both council areas and depot locations.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements and their importance in the workplace.
• Effective verbal communication and basic written recording skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Positive, flexible and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and attendance.
• Professional conduct when representing the councils in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Collect food waste from residential properties as part of a crew.
• Handle waste safely and efficiently and work across multiple depot locations.
• May support wider Waste Services including refuse, recycling and garden waste collections.
• Assist in delivering the weekly food waste collection service for both districts.
