Job summary

Gist Limited, part of the M&S Group, is seeking a Warehouse Section Leader in Hemel Hempstead to support the day-to-day operation on shift. You will help coordinate activity, monitor performance, and ensure safe, efficient delivery of goods.

Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager, you’ll drive resource planning, manage attendance, and provide direction to colleagues across the operation. A leadership presence on shift is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse/logistics environments.
• Ability to coordinate activity and support colleagues.
• Experience with reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Familiarity with a Warehouse Management System (SAP or similar).

Responsibilities

• Support daily resource planning.
• Coordinate warehouse/outbound activity.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements.
• Produce and maintain operational reports.
• Support sickness, holidays and staff availability.
• Assist with employee relations and return-to-work conversations.
• Provide clear direction and training to new starters.
• Identify issues and work with team to resolve them.
• Champion health and safety on site.
