Job summary

Ecclesbourne School in Duffield is seeking a Technology Technician to support Food and Textiles lessons across KS3-5. You will prepare ingredients and fabrics, manage stock, ensure hygiene and safety, and assist teachers during practical sessions to keep learning spaces safe and well-organised.

The role is term-time with some staff development days, 35 hours per week, and involves budget awareness and IT literacy. A proactive, practical individual with a passion for supporting students is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in school or workshop environments is desirable.
• Strong organisational and budgeting abilities.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to safeguarding and working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients and materials for food and textiles lessons.
• Ordering and monitoring stock levels; ensuring safe storage and checking expiry dates.
• Upholding high hygiene and safety standards in practical areas.
• Assisting teaching staff during lessons and helping students with practical work.
