Job summary

The Ecclesbourne School in Duffield, Derbyshire is seeking a proactive Technology Technician to support Food and Textiles lessons across Key Stages 3-5. You will prepare ingredients and fabrics, manage stocks, and help maintain safe, hygienic workshop environments.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to working with young people in an educational setting.
• Ability to monitor budgets, track expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
• Experience in a school workshop or kitchen environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and Organisation: Preparing ingredients, setting up cooking stations for food lessons, preparing fabrics and materials for textiles.
• Stock Management: Ordering, monitoring, and maintaining stock levels of food, ingredients and textiles.
• Equipment and Safety: Upholding hygiene and safety standards, risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Classroom Support: Assisting staff during practical lessons and guiding students.
