Job summary

St Anthony's School in West Sussex is seeking a Food Technology Technician to support our busy Technology Department. This permanent role is 32.5 hours per week during term time plus inset days.

You will help with practical lessons, manage orders and inventories, set up equipment and lead sessions if needed. Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 13th October 2026.

Actual pro rata salary £20,624–£21,641, full-time equivalent £27,254–£28,598; pay award pending.

Qualifications

• Role requires love of food and cooking.
• Ability to provide practical support in lessons and lead sessions when absent.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• To support the Department with ordering and general day to day organisation.
• To prepare and clean the room; to include setting up of equipment and/or ingredients where necessary.
• To maintain inventories, stock and filing systems.
• To assist with the ordering of essential supplies for the Department.
• To provide practical support for staff and students in lesson.
• To lead sessions when staff in the Department are absent.
