Job Title: Lead Food Technology Teacher

Are you a qualified teacher with experience in Food Technology or a teacher seeking a change and interested in food technology? This school is currently looking to recruit an experienced teacher to work in their vibrant Design and Technology department starting this September. The school has a primary, secondary, and sixth form, offering plenty of room for growth and development within the school and your role.

The Role

Within this role, you will:

1. Lead a team of classroom support staff, students, and voluntary helpers assigned to the class, both on-site and during visits/trips.
2. Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 if applicable.
3. Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons promoting healthy lifestyles, culinary skills, and food science knowledge.
4. Monitor student progress and adapt lessons to accommodate various learning needs and abilities.
5. Contribute to curriculum development and department enrichment activities.
6. Promote high standards of food hygiene, safety, and practical work in the classroom.
