Job summary

Tradewind Education is recruiting on behalf of a Doncaster secondary school for a Teacher of Food Technology to start from the new academic year. The role covers KS3-4 and is full-time with a salary dependent on experience.

You will plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons, assess progress, and ensure safeguarding. A supportive department and ongoing CPD are provided, with opportunities for long-term or permanent roles.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology in a UK secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate students and raise attainment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Food Technology lessons that inspire students.
  • Teach practical and theoretical aspects of food preparation, nutrition, health and food safety.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet learners' varying abilities.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies.

Tradewind Education is recruiting on behalf of one of our valued secondary partnership schools in Doncaster for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Food Technology to join their team from the start of the new academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a supportive and well-resourced department. The school is committed to delivering high-quality education and providing students with engaging, practical learning experiences that develop essential life skills.

The Role

As a Teacher of Food Technology, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Food Technology lessons that inspire students.
  • Teach practical and theoretical aspects of food preparation, nutrition, health, and food safety.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

Requirements
