Job Vacancy: Food Technology Teacher – September to December 2025

Location: Mainstream Secondary School, Colne
Contract: Fixed-term (September – December 2025)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Colne from September to December 2025 (initially on a fixed-term basis). This is an excellent opportunity to inspire and engage students in a subject that is both creative and essential to everyday life.

The Role

• Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Foster a love of cooking, nutrition, and food science among students
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and pupil achievement
• Collaborate with the wider Design & Technology faculty

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
• Strong classroom presence and excellent communication skills
• A genuine passion for the subject and a creative approach to teaching
• Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive and forward-thinking team
