Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Food Technology Teacher to work in a rural secondary school in Northwest Leeds.

This is a part-time 0.8FTE placement starting in September until Christmas, with the potential for extension into 2025.

The successful teacher will be able to deliver Food Technology to A level and will be responsible for planning, marking, and managing their own exam classes.

The school is rated ‘Good’ and is based in Leeds. Teachers benefit from effective training to improve classroom performance. Most teachers know their pupils well and plan lessons to help pupils learn and remember more over time, using various methods to recap and revisit previous work.

Requirements:
  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification
  • Honours degree in relevant subject
  • Two references from educational establishments
  • Passion for success and quality teaching
  • Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service
