Job description

Are you an experienced Food Technology teacher looking to take your career to the next level? Academics are currently working alongside a school in Wakefield who are looking for a Food Technology teacher for a September start, this position will run until December 2025 with the possibility of an extension. The school pride themselves on making sure the students fulfil their academic potential, the students are very ambitious and many aspire to become school leaders when they are older. Previous Ofsted reports have praised the school for setting high behaviour expectations and for being able to provide support to SEND pupils.

Responsibilities as a Food Technology teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
  • Track student's progression and provide constructive feedback to help them develop their skills.
  • Share ideas with other members in the Food Technology department in order to further develop the curriculum.
  • Create a structured and safe learning environment.
