St Paul’s Way Trust School in London is seeking a dedicated Food Technician to support food teaching across the curriculum. You will prepare ingredients and equipment for practical lessons, set up activities and help staff and pupils use specialist equipment safely.

Working with the Head of Design and Technology, you will manage consumables, maintain food rooms, monitor hygiene and safety, and keep records of equipment and expenditure.

• Prepare ingredients, equipment and materials for practical food lessons
• Set up and clear away practical teaching activities
• Give technical advice and support to staff and students
• Assist with practical demonstrations and specialist classroom activities
• Maintain, service and ensure safe use of equipment and appliances
• Monitor food hygiene and compliance with relevant legislation
• Manage stock levels and order consumable and non-consumable resources
• Keep accurate records of equipment, resources and expenditure
• Ensure safe storage of ingredients, materials and equipment
• Advise on health and safety procedures and safe working practices
• Identify and source new resources and equipment
• Keep preparation and storage areas organised, safe and fit for purpose
