Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a reliable Food Technician to join a secondary school in Corby, Northamptonshire. The role supports the Food Technology department, helping practical lessons run smoothly and safely while developing students' culinary skills.

You will prepare ingredients and equipment, support teachers and students during practical sessions, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, monitor stocks, and ensure food hygiene and health and safety regulations are followed.

Qualifications

• Has experience in food preparation, catering, hospitality, education, or similar environment.
• Has a good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices.
• Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Enjoys working with young people and supporting their learning.
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.

Responsibilities
