Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is partnering with a well-established food company to appoint a Technical Manager (Food) in the North West. The role is commutable from Blackburn, Blackpool, Lancaster, Wigan, Bolton, Burnley, Southport and surrounding areas and leads the technical function with responsibility for a developing team working with suppliers and internal departments.

The successful candidate will have a food/FMCG background, strong knowledge of food legislation and BRC, plus

Qualifications

• Food/FMCG background with technical management experience.
• Strong knowledge of food legislation, BRC and specification management.
• Experience with supplier audits, NPD and supplier technical management.
• Leadership experience and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical function and manage/develop the technical team
• Manage supplier approval, performance, audits and BRC compliance
• Oversee product specifications, food legislation and technical documentation
• Work closely with Purchasing/Commercial teams on NPD and supplier approval
