Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at Lowdham CE Primary in the UK. You will help prepare and serve meals and ensure a clean, welcoming dining environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role offers 18.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00–13:45 or 10:15–14:00, across 39.2 weeks per year, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. DBS and safeguarding checks are part of the employment process.

About the Role:

Based at Lowdham CE Primary, NG14 7BE, you will be working 18.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 13:45 / 10:15 to 14:00, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high quality catering service, ensuring pupils receive excellent food service in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
• Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors
• Supporting the maintenance of a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area
• Following food safety and health and safety procedures
• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties

Pay Rate:
