Description

Organize inspection itineraries for the year, making adjustments for new business or postponements. Notify clients of inspection dates as needed. Travel to inspection sites and arrange accommodations in the client's area. Conduct food safety audits following AIB Standards and Procedures, including specialized audits when required. Train personnel on food safety issues, prepare reports post-audit within five working days, and submit expense vouchers weekly. Manage expenses for extended trips, including proration.

Additional Activities:

Participate in food safety conferences, in-plant seminars, and AIB seminars. Maintain positive relationships with colleagues to foster a cooperative work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Proficiency in written and spoken English and French is required.

Education: B.S. degree in science or related food safety field from an accredited institution is preferred.

Experience: 5-10 years in a responsible food plant position related to food safety. Candidates with a high school diploma plus approximately 10 years of relevant experience will also be considered.

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, independent work capability, and computer proficiency. Ability to travel extensively (up to 90%).

Physical Requirements: Ability to safely ascend heights, bend, crawl, and move around machinery and facilities; good eyesight or corrected vision for inspections and report writing.

  • Must be willing to travel extensively (up to 90%).
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanour.
  • Follow all client instructions and maintain valid driving license, insurance, and personal vehicle for business use.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility for travel and work arrangements.
