The Oyster Partnership Ltd is seeking an experienced Food Inspection Officer / Environmental Health Officer to join a busy Local Authority Environmental Health team. You will lead programmed food hygiene inspections, investigations and enforcement across a range of premises.
You will inspect, audit and monitor food businesses in line with legislation and the FSA Code of Practice, investigate complaints, provide advice and determine appropriate enforcement actions where required.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Food Inspection Officer / Environmental Health Officer to join a busy Local Authority Environmental Health team.
The successful candidate will primarily support the Council's Food Safety function, carrying out programmed food hygiene inspections, investigations and enforcement activity across a range of food premises.
You will be responsible for inspecting, auditing and monitoring food businesses in accordance with relevant legislation and the FSA Food Law Code of Practice. You will investigate complaints and potential food safety breaches, provide professional advice to businesses and determine appropriate enforcement action where required. This may include preparing statutory notices, gathering evidence, producing reports and supporting legal proceedings.
