Job summary

DRNewitt is seeking a Technical & Compliance professional to support a food manufacturing site with day-to-day technical queries, audits and standards compliance. You will maintain documentation, update procedures and assist with supplier and material specifications.

The role requires knowledge of BRCGS, GMP and customer food safety standards, plus strong communication and organisational skills. A full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a technical, quality or compliance role within food manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of BRCGS, GMP, M&S and customer food safety standards.
• Food Science, Food Technology or a related HND, degree or equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication, organisation and documentation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage day-to-day compliance issues with minimal supervision and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Competent using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support technical queries, internal audits, traceability exercises and day-to-day compliance issues.
• Maintain technical systems, procedures and documentation in line with BRCGS and site requirements.
• Develop and update company procedures and specifications where required.
• Support GMP, hygiene and procedural audits and work with Production to maintain site standards.
• Provide technical cover and support for compliance queries in the absence of the Technical Manager.
• Log, investigate and resolve non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Liaise with customers regarding technical queries and product information.
• Manage site Certificates of Analysis and out-of-specification results and escalate as needed.
• Assist with raw material data and specification requirements and supplier management.
• Maintain certifications including Halal, Kosher and Sedex.
