Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd is recruiting for a QA Technician or a Production Operative with food industry experience to join a well-established Plymouth food manufacturing business on a long-term temporary contract. Immediate start available and the role offers a pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will maintain food safety, quality and compliance standards across production operations, performing QA checks, GMP audits and hygiene verifications while supporting the Technical team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing QA or QA role.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, allergen management and food safety standards.
• Experience completing and reviewing production and quality documentation.
• Confidence to challenge non-conformity and promote best practice on the factory floor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality assurance checks.
• Complete GMP audits across production areas.
• Carry out pre-start checks.
• Verify labels and packing specifications.
• Monitor CCPs and quality control points.
• Support product traceability activities.
• Perform hygiene verification checks.
• Raise and report non-conformances.
• Provide general support to the Technical team as required.
