Job summary

Moulton Bulb Company is seeking a Quality Controller to ensure customer requirements and standards are met by delivering an effective QC service across multiple departments, including Grader, Intake, Packhouse and Goldwood. You will record findings, verify codes and promote traceability throughout production.

Qualifications

• Previous QC experience within the food industry is preferable.
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Methodical with attention to detail and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good basic understanding of English (written and verbal).
• Ability to perform basic computer tasks and use handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake quality and label checks across areas (Grader, Intake, Packhouse, Goldwood); record findings and flag discrepancies to managers.
• Ensure accurate checking of codes, dates and promotional labels in the system.
• Take reference photos to support legal compliance and product traceability.
• Inspect raw materials against specifications and explain them to colleagues when required.
• Communicate quality issues to internal departments and notify managers of concerns.
• Provide products that meet customer specifications at all times.
• Collaborate with the quality team to implement corrective actions to improve quality.
• Keep the work area clean and follow the 'clean as you go' procedure.
• Assist with start-up checks including shelf-life verification, scale checks, document control, and reviewing procedures.
