Our client is an award winning, independent UK meat wholesaler who have been operating in North East England for over 40 years. We are looking for reliable and ambitious Food Production Operators on a temporary ongoing basis.

What will my role look like?

As a Food Production Operator, you will be under the support of the shift supervisor - responsible for the smooth running of the production line, loading machines with raw ingredients and adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.

Weekly shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 07.00 - 16.00

Your duties will include:

  • Achieving daily output targets.
  • Develop a good understanding of the daily production sheet and requirements.
  • Loading machines with raw ingredients and ensuring the production line runs smoothly.
  • Paperwork is accurately completed in full with any issues corrected.
  • Packing of finished products with correct product labelling.
  • Ensuring all duties are carried out in a safe and proper manner, using your knowledge of basic Food Hygiene, HACCP and induction information.

To be considered for the role of Food Production Operator, you must have:

  • Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent punctuality.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods.
  • The ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
  • Able to work with own initiative and as part of a team.
